In late 2020 Roto completed installation of a highly-interactive science and nature experience featuring numerous engaging experiments with real natural phenomena. Employing Roto trademark style open-ended exploration, these exhibits foster collaboration and genuine human connections with others, and with the natural world.
After successfully using concept renderings in their fundraising efforts, ECHO reengaged Roto’s services in 2019 to design and build two of the concepts established by Roto’s Master Plan. Awesome Forces, where visitors explore the natural phenomena and physical laws that govern life in and around Lake Champlain, is complete with classic fan-favorite interactive science center exhibits such as a tornado, stream bed and sailboat air table.
Engineer It, a facilitated tinkering space in which visitors explore design solutions to challenges inspired by real world environmental concerns, features open-ended ball walls, wind tubes, shake tables and drop zones. Both galleries opened in late Fall 2020.
