Located in Minneapolis, the 1,500ft2 Spark gallery celebrates the intersection of innovation and inspiration through the lens of medical technology (the foundation of the Bakken Museum’s collection) and science fiction (the inspiration of the museum’s founder, Earl Bakken). A series of creative, collaborative interactives and thought-provoking experiences challenges visitors to, “find their spark and change the world.” As part of the project, Roto also created a dynamic icon that hangs in the museum’s new entry tower. A swirling sphere of dichroic lenses casts colored light throughout the surrounding landscape.
