Puller Gallery & Miller Annex
Founded in 2020, Roto partnered with the National Museum of Military Vehicles to support its mission of honoring American veterans and their families by sharing their stories through the lens of military vehicles.
Roto’s custom designs thrust visitors into a series of powerful historic scenes that completely immerse their senses. Throughout their tour, guests encounter a perilous nighttime jungle trail with hand-sculpted bamboo, lurking guerilla forces, and projection-mapped moonlight as well as a US Firebase with an animated mural depicting distant battles. The Battle of the Chosin Reservoir is showcased as a frozen mountain looming above visitors with cast figures that capture the desperate human emotion of the conflict.
In the 10,000 sf Miller Annex, Roto honors Doris Miller, the first African American Navy Cross recipient – received for his valor during the attach on Pearl Harbor. This gallery features more than 200 artifacts including several WWII naval armaments and aircraft including twin 40mm Bofors anti-aircraft guns like those used by Miller at Pearl Harbor.
