The Frist is famous for its exemplary art shows, original art deco architecture, and extensive public programming. The new ArtQuest celebrates all three qualities of this world-class institution, providing Nashville area art patrons high-quality resources for exploring art and art-making first-hand.
• Exhibit planning and design
• Evaluation and prototyping
• Interior architectural design
• Exhibit fabrication and installation
The ArtQuest design aesthetic adheres closely to the Art Deco styling found throughout the original 1930’s era Post Office building, and reflects the institution’s commitment to quality in both the art-making experiences and the environment in which they reside.
Visitor experiences include an extensive array of hands-on encounters with authentic process and materials, including drawing, painting, print-making, animation, textile weaving, whole-body digital painting – even creating art with sound.
“ArtQuest is beautiful and [the Roto] team did a great job of realizing our vision. It is an inspiring space and we can’t wait to have our visitors in it!”- Anne Henderson, Director of Education, Frist Art Museum
