Created to honor the heroic efforts of U.S. naval serviceman, Doris “Dorrie” Miller, the first African American recipient of the Navy Cross for Valor for his brave efforts during the attack on Pearl Harbor, the gallery highlights naval armaments and aircraft from WWII in dynamic ways that highlight the artifacts while bringing the time period to life.

More than 200 artifacts including multiple macro artifacts – from airplanes to twin 40mm Bofors anti-aircraft guns on their original mounts like those used by Miller during the attack on Pearl Harbor. The intricate restoration process for these items required a complex installation schedule that Roto expertly managed to meet each of NMMV’s deadlines.
